We've received a lot of positive feedback on Dammenberg's new spread. We forwarded all your suggestions to Finland, and Dammenberg responded promptly. The results are available now (Sunday, April 18, exclusively at our Chocolate Wonderland!)
Dammenberg's chocolate spread has been available exclusively at the Chocolate Wonderland since spring 2021. After the first jars sold out in a very short time, we asked for your feedback. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and (almost) all of it was.
They also gave us a few suggestions for improvement, which Dammenberg gratefully took up and implemented. The suggestions were essentially:
- The spread should become a little creamier.
- The nut flavor was too intense, less is more.
- Hazelnut would be even better instead of peanut flavor
- The jars should be sealed.
1: The spread should be a bit creamier. Mr. Iso-Kungas von Dammenberg addressed this point in his test lab the same day we wrote to him. The new recipe now contains a bit more shea oil, which makes the spread noticeably creamier. 🙂 Our tip : the spread shouldn't be refrigerated; it's sufficient to store it at room temperature. The spread only becomes really runny if you raise the temperature further... so it's also perfect for crepes and other desserts. 🙂 However, room temperature is sufficient for spreading the spread evenly on bread rolls!
2: The nutty flavor was too intense . Dammenberg has taken this point to heart, too. The revised recipe is not only creamier, but also less nutty, and even more chocolatey. (FYI: the spread is guaranteed nut-free, despite the nutty flavor! )
3: Hazelnut instead of peanut! Everyone loves Ferrero's chocolate hazelnut spread. And anyone with a nut allergy has to forgo this delicious temptation. Until now! They requested hazelnut flavor, so Dammenberg took up the suggestion. From now on, the nut-free spread tastes (almost) like the well-known chocolate spread from German supermarkets.
4: Sealed jars. The first delivery of the spread still had unsealed jars. But the first subsequent delivery at the end of February was already sealed, so you can clearly see that your jar arrived unopened.
So there are so many good reasons to try this amazing spread . Don't wait until it's sold out again; get your jar today!
