ATTENTION: This chocolate was delivered to us in June 2026 with a short best-before date of July 2026 (meaning only one month after delivery). The chocolate is perfectly safe to eat and will not suffer any loss of taste until December 2026. We are, of course, significantly reducing the price anyway!

Delicious jungle chocolate. The aromatic Arriba cocoa from the Ecuadorian Amazon is perfectly balanced with the slightly bitter-sweet Golden Berry, the sister of the well-known Cape Gooseberry. A harmonious delight.

Kuná is produced in Ecuador in an allergen-free environment. Specifically, this means the chocolates are free from gluten, tree nuts, nuts, sesame, milk, soy, and lecithin. The sustainably grown beans are hand-selected. Only the best beans are used and processed into the finest chocolate within a very short time after harvesting, fermentation, and roasting. So everything is very fresh.

Out of nowhere, Kuná won first prize at El Salon del Cacao y Chocolate Ecuatoriano in Guayaquil (Ecuador) in 2012.

More than Fair-Trade

Kuna is a brand of the Ecuadorian company FreshCosta, which – by our standards – maintains a remarkable social policy. What we call fair trade is quite normal in Ecuador. For Kuna, it means social responsibility – firmly established in the entire concept. The well-being of the producers, the creation of jobs, and the cultivation of high-quality cocoa are essential components.

The "Nacional" or "Arriba" cocoa comes from the Kichwa cooperative Asociación Wiñak from the Unesco Biosphere Sumaco.

Ingredients (all ingredients from controlled organic cultivation): Cocoa mass, cocoa butter, spices, vanillin, dried Golden Berry, Panela (unrefined cane sugar: the juice of the plant is evaporated)

The atelier does not work with nuts, sesame, gluten, or soy. May contain traces of milk.
