Heinde & Verre Dutch Vegan Mylk Chocolate with 52% cocoa combines the best of both worlds. The cocoa beans come from far away, with the Dutch series always featuring a fine cocoa selection from three growing regions, and the sugar comes from Dutch sugar beets.
The cocoa beans are carefully selected by Jan-Willem Jekel and Ewald Rietberg, the two founders of the Dutch Chocolate Manufactory, and first roasted in Rotterdam and then processed into delicious chocolate together with sugar from Dutch sugar beets.
Heinde & Verre Dutch Vegan Mylk is a bean-to-bar chocolate made from three different single-origin cocoa beans. It is nut-free, soy-free, gluten-free, lactose-free, and vegan.

Origin of the cocoa beans | Heinde & Verre Bean to bar
The organically certified cocoa in this blend is cultivated in agroforestry systems, among other sources. Three single-origin cocoa beans from Peru, the Dominican Republic, and Bali add excitement to the Dutch Original Blend.
Peruvian cocoa is cultivated by the Colpa de Loros cooperative in the Ucayali region, which has approximately 250 farmers. With the help of international development funds, sustainable cocoa plantations were established in an area once known for drug trafficking and crime. The cocoa harvested there, with its pleasant flavors of honey, caramel, and berries, is certified "organic" and "Fair for Life."
In the Dominican Republic, the cocoa comes from Öko Caribe. 165 farmers in the heart of Duarte Province have joined forces to produce award-winning cocoa renowned for its consistently high quality. Öko Caribe continuously trains its participating farmers and also provides its members with microcredits when needed. The cocoa is characterized by earthiness, coffee, red fruits, and a hint of nutmeg.
Balinese cacao is cultivated by the 230 Kerta Semaya Samaniya Farmers (KSS) in the Jembrana region of the island, famous for its fertile volcanic soils. In 2011, KSS succeeded in cultivating the first organic cacao in Southeast Asia. The cacao is known for its floral, herbal, and spicy notes.
