Anyone who has problems with nuts, milk, sesame, tree nuts, lecithins, or soy can rejoice: In addition to Cocoa Libre, Marou, Guittard, L'Atelier des 5 Volcans, Dammenberg, Malmö, and Plamil, we now also have Kuná from Ecuador in our Chocolate Wonderland 🙂

Kuná is guaranteed free from these allergens , it is considered an insider tip among the best chocolates and anyone who has experienced the effort and love that goes into making this chocolate can only love it!

We've purchased (small) quantities (only one of each variety) so you can order a bar to try! We recommend trying at least one variety! Once these bars are used up, it will take some time before we reorder from Kuná, because delivery to our chocolate wonderland is very time-consuming and, of course, expensive! You can see which varieties are still available right here in this overview: All Kuná varieties

Kuná is produced in Ecuador in an allergen-free environment. Specifically, this means the chocolates are free of gluten, tree nuts , nuts, sesame, milk, soy, and lecithin. The sustainably grown beans are hand-selected.

Other brands that are also guaranteed allergen-free are: Nomo, Marou, Guittard, Dammenberg, Malmö and Plamil

Only the finest beans are used, and after harvesting, fermentation, and roasting, they are processed into the finest chocolate within the shortest possible time. So all the ingredients are guaranteed to be fresh!

Kuna was founded in 2012 by Maria Fernanda Andrade and Luis Manuel Leon. One of the best brands in Ecuador, Kuná combines social commitment, a strong awareness of biodiversity, organic farming, and high quality. They have a close relationship with the Kichwa Asociación Wiñak in the Amazon region. Enthusiasm, passion, and a commitment to quality characterize the couple. Out of nowhere, in their very first year, they won the top prize at El Salon del Cacao y Chocolate Ecuatoriano: “ The best chocolate from Ecuador.” Ecological and social responsibility are important components of the brand, and in 2014 they also received the award for “Best Export Product from Ecuador.” The story of Kuná chocolate begins with the close relationship with the Asociación Wiñak, the Kichwa cooperative from Archidona in the Amazon region of Ecuador. Particularly high-quality cocoa is obtained from the jungle, which partly encompasses the UNESCO Sumaco Biosphere . Only the finest beans are harvested. In addition, cocoa from the Unión de Asociaciones Artesanales Eloy Alfaro de Esmeraldas is used for chocolates with higher cocoa content.
